A note from Winter's new "Forever Home"

Winter, or Winter Bodinter as we like to call her, is looking at me with her beautiful green eyes.  It is as if she is saying, "I am so happy to be here."  And we are so happy she is here too.  When Penny died, we offered to give Winter a foster home. It took almost no time for us to fall in love with her and decide to give her a forever home.

Penny had Winter for many months and she got little attention at the adoption events.  Maybe it is because she has only three legs.  She was hit by a car and one of her rear legs had to be amputated.  The truth is that dogs get along just fine on three legs.  Even as a "tripawd" Winter is nimble and faster than any of us.  She is also sweet, cuddly, playful, and very smart.  In fact, our biggest problem may be that she is too smart.  She already seems to be in charge around here.  That is ok, though, because we sure do love that girl.  Rest in peace, Penny, and know that we will take good care of her.
