GIZMO (now named Mei)
A note from Gizmo's (now Mei) new "Forever Home"
I think from the moment little Gizmo set her eyes on me she had decided she was going to have me all to herself. She made the transition into our home without a ripple. True to her royal lineage she quickly elevated herself to her rightful position and has made the rest of my dogs her subjects. Not always her loyal subjects, but nonetheless she is definitely the Queen. She is tenacious and even though just a sprout (that’s her nickname) the other dogs let her have her way. She wants everything. Whether it be a toy, a bone, or something another dog is eating. It is difficult to be angry with her because she is so adorable, but when she picks on my elderly toy poodles( including Miles) she gets a stern reprimand. She is equally comfortable riding in our jogger buggy or in the satchel on my chest. Of course, her favorite is to be carried. She rides in her doggy chair when in the car and makes the perfect travel companion. She accompanies me into all stores ranging from Nordstrom, to Staples, to Bed, Bath & Beyond, to Costco, to Loews and of course all the pet stores. She gets all the accolades and adoration befitting her status as a Royal Pekingese. They have fallen in love with her at my vet as well as at the Eye Clinic for Animals (She had to have graft surgery on both eyes.) My groomer delights in grooming her.
